I've been thinking about getting a paid account. I'm particularly interested in the friends-of-friends feature.
Any advice? Is it worth it? Should I wait to see how the SUP plans work out?

I've had a paid account for several years. Initially it was worth it because the servers were much faster and there were also more layout options (which no longer seems to be the case). Nowadays I don't know - you don't see any ads though!

It's extremely cheap. Most of the added features are things I don't use, but that's because I'm so technologically challenged. You do get to feel virtuous and superior though! And it's so cheap you might as well do it. It's certainly better than one of those goddawful advertising-riddled Plus Accounts, which are an abomination. I say go for it.
Yeah, I've got a Plus Account at the moment. Maybe I'll take the leap. I certainly use LJ quite a lot these days.
